Saul “SLASH” Hudson

SLASH is more recently known from his current band, Velvet Revolver and from his time with the groundbreaking band, Guns N' Roses. SLASH got his first guitar at age fifteen and was influenced by Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Alice Cooper, Van Halen, AC/DC and Jeff Beck.
He started his first band called Road Crew and went on to join the band Black Sheep. It was from there he was introduced to Axl Rose and auditioned to play with him to form Guns N' Roses.
For years Guns N' Roses released albums and hit songs as they toured. Due to several disagreements, SLASH officially quit the band in 1996
SLASH quickly moved on and formed a band called Slash's Snakepit, but only played a few tour dates before leaving the band later that same year. From there SLASH collaborated with many different musicians such as Marta Sanchez, Fishbone, The Yardbirds, and Derek Sherinaian. In 2002, he began a project called Velvet Revolver who’s first release went platinum.
SLASH is put out an album with his own band which features artists such as Kid Rock and Fergie. SLASH owns more than 100 guitars and was the first musician to own a signature amplifier created by Marshall for him. He has also recently collaborated with Dunlop on his first signature pedal called, The Slash Wah.
